Note inviting collaborators if you’re looking for your second team member:

I am a researcher with a background in cryptography and computer science. In this project, I aim to collect and analyze more data on human decision-making processes. Therefore, it would be advantageous if collaborators had experience in designing simulated decision-making experiments.

Short summary of your improvement idea:

Collective decision-making plays a crucial role in decentralized systems. It is pivotal in the distribution of funds within DAO structures, token selection for decentralized finance (DeFi) application access, fee parameter adjustments, and the upgrading or forking of blockchain protocols themselves.

Our goal is to enhance the accuracy of decision-making processes when specialized knowledge is required. This includes assessing whether a smart contract is malicious or identifying bugs within a DeFi project without relying on prior reputations. We are exploring new decision-making mechanisms that circumvent traditional reputation systems. This approach not only facilitates the design of monetary incentive systems but also reduces reliance on social incentives, enabling broader participation in decision-making processes.

Q&A

What is the existing target protocol you are hoping to improve or enhance? Eg: hand-washing, traffic system, connector standards, carbon trading.

one person one vote, crowd wisdom

What is your discovery methodology for investigating the current state of the target protocol? Eg: field observation, expert interviews, historical data analysis, failure event analysis

Our methodology focuses on two main approaches: analyzing on-chain decision-making data and examining failed cases. This includes studying DAO voting patterns, voting mechanisms in various DeFi protocols, the performance of the Polkadot Technical Committee (Polkadot Governance), and the outcomes of UMA oracle disputes (UMA Dispute Resolution). Our initial phase will employ simulated data to test the efficiency of decision algorithms, followed by social experiments to validate their accuracy.

In what form will you prototype your improvement idea?

Code: Include smart contract for public verification and off-chain module for encryption

A/B test of ideas with a test audience。

How will you field-test your improvement idea? Eg: running a restricted pilot at an event, simulation, workshop, etc.

First, use simulated data to verify the efficiency of the decision algorithm, then validate its accuracy through social experiments

Who will be able to judge the quality of your output? Ideally, name a few suitable judges.

Hart Lambur(https://twitter.com/hal2001)

How will you publish and evangelize your improvement idea? Eg: Submit proposal to a standards body, publish open-source code, produce and release a software development kit etc.

publish open-source code and possibly an academic paper

What is the success vision for your idea?

We aspire to establish a more precise mechanism for public decision-making on-chain. This mechanism could be integrated into DAOs, decentralized insurance protocols, and dispute arbitration protocols, providing a more accurate assessment tool for these systems.
