**I was for a long time Professor of Political Economy at the University of Sydney where i worked on social dimensions of finance and especially the impact of the techniques of finance (esp derivatives) in daily life. Since leaving there ive been working on protocol design for building protocol for postcapitalist economy. My particular interest here is how to build network approaches to value which are inclusive of social welfare, justice and environmental concerns which are currently written out of economic calculus and only get an airing via state expenditure, and so are always contingently fiunded and designed. I am interested in integrating ownership and systems of production into distributed ledger technology.
